For the people who have the “noblest profession” here comes now the good news. Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV filed a bill that aims 100-increase in the salary of public school teachers. If the bill passed, the current salary of starts from P 18, 549 will be doubled to P 36, 567.  He also said that since education must be the priority of the government then this must considered first, this would be one of the ways to guarantee a quality education for the incoming generations. Basically, teachers belong to the underpaid and overworked professionals of the country. They worked hard but the salary they received is not enough. The said Senate bill must get first the approval of both the House of Representatives and the senate before the president. If this bill was signed by the president then it would be the biggest relief for the teachers and since they play the most critical role in the society - to mold and shape young lives.
